Since its establishment in 1987, NAEC has published Epilepsy Center Guidelines which have been published and updated approximately every 10 years, with the latest Guideline published in Neurology in February 2024.

Epilepsy Center Survey Publications
In 2020, NAEC undertook a major survey of its member centers focusing on diagnostic testing practices, treatments including surgery, safety issues, general trends in epilepsy center practices and the impact of COVID on epilepsy center operations. A series of articles were published on this survey data. All NAEC Accredited Center Medical Directors are recognized as authors through the NAEC Center Director Study Group for their contribution in submitting data to NAEC annually.
NAEC recognizes Dr Adam Ostendorf, Medical Director, and the team at the Epilepsy Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for their analytical work and leadership in drafting these publications.
