Yes, trained nursing staff may be used in place of monitor watchers, but nurses must be dedicated to monitoring the VEEGs and have no other responsibilities while they are watching the monitors.  Nursing staff used to meet this accreditation criterion must complete the ASET Neurodiagnostic Assistant Course (LTM100) or the NAEC Comprehensive Epilepsy Centers for Seizure and Epilepsy Certificate Program: 2 Modules.
